L'Occitane Reviews. Good, Bad, and Oh No!!

Last night and tonight I sampled most of the things I got at L'Occitane yesterday. Lets start with the good:

This Milk Concentrate was wonderful, I could wear this everyday. The sample was sizable so I got enough for my whole body. After trying this I would definitely purchase.

From their site:

L'OCCITANE blends almond proteins and silicium into a silky, concentrated milk that nourishes and smooths the whole body. The light, creamy and silky texture absorbs quickly without leaving a greasy residue while skin is left feeling satiny-smooth and is enveloped in the fresh and delicate fragrance of Almond blossoms.

Massage the Almond Milk Concentrate into the skin with circular movements, always from bottom to top, each morning
and/or evening on the whole body. For best results, focus on areas to tighten and tone, such as thighs, stomach and bust.

The Concentrate can also be applied to the skin after hair removal or shaving to help soothe and moisturize.

Now, the bad. The Exfoliating Gel .

From their site:

Small, all-natural exfoliating particles gently remove dead skin cells and impurities, while micro-balls made of natural gum massage the skin. Angelica extracts preserve natural hydration, for skin that is incredibly clean, soft, and smooth with a beautiful glow.

About those balls... They just felt gross. I don't know how to describe the feeling exactly but it was unpleasant. Like, if I was blindfolded and on a reality show competition where I had to stick my hands into this texture for 5 minutes to win $50,000 I would freak out and forfeit the money. You know in your mind when something just feels like "this cannot be something good. must be little maggots or gerbil poop or something worse". They have a video of it which they describe the texture as "pearly"

I couldn't keep it on my face that long without washing it off in the shower where I tried the Radiance Color Care Shampoo  .Which is lovely and amazing and made my hair feel so silky. I still would not buy this right now because I have what my hairdresser describes as "fabulously thick hair" and I usually keep it long so because I go through hair products so fast I don't usually buy pricier stuff for my hair for regular use.

I cut the end of my finger opening the sample and of course this is the strongest lemon scented thing ever and they must use real lemon juice because instead of there being a little scented pad inside the wrapper it is just liquid that came out all over and OWOWITBURNITBURNS!!! But I still would totally buy this stuff because I love the smell of lemons and the smell really lasts, my bathroom smells like a garden of fresh lemons.

Also, I used the hand cream  last night before bed and 5 minutes later I couldn't stop touching my own hands. I've never had soft hands so this is nice but I also haven't used hand cream before so I don't have much to compare it too. But this time of year I'm glad I have it!

I love L'Occitane check out their pinterest they even have their own hot air balloon!
